About Project
The Andimeshk–Ahvaz Freeway, spanning approximately 139 kilometers, is a pivotal infrastructure project in Iran's Khuzestan Province. Designed to enhance connectivity between the northern city of Andimeshk and the provincial capital, Ahvaz, this freeway is integral to the country's north–south transportation corridor.
As part of Freeway 5, also known as the Khalij Fars (Persian Gulf) Freeway, the Andimeshk–Ahvaz segment aims to streamline traffic flow, reduce travel times, and bolster economic activities by facilitating the efficient movement of goods and passengers. This route is particularly significant for the energy-rich Khuzestan region, providing improved access to key industrial and commercial centers.
