About Project
The Maroon Dam and Power Plant, also known as the Marun Dam, is a pivotal infrastructure project situated approximately 15 kilometers north of Behbahan in Khuzestan Province, Iran. Constructed on the Maroon River, this rock-fill embankment dam was initiated in 1989 and became operational in 1998, with its hydroelectric power plant commissioned in 2004 .
